Our Team
Bob is a long time resident of beautiful Shelby, NC. A product of Shelby City Schools and a graduate of Clemson University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering, he opened J&E Sales, Inc. in 1985. The primary focus was sales and service of luxury cars. In 2019 the name changed to Shelby Automotive, and we changed our focus from car sales to repair and maintenance on all models.
Bob and his wife Tina live at Moss Lake and have 3 children: Kristin, Tyler, and Elijah; a daughter in law, Amy; one super-perfect granddaughter, Stella Kate; and one rowdy Golden-doodle named Clyde. In his spare time Bob enjoys hunting, wood working, camping, and Clemson football.
Jennifer is originally from Williamston, SC but transplanted to Grover 20 years ago after meeting her better half, Liberty. Jennifer has a degree in IT and a long history of working in Human Resources. She has one son, Russell, who is in the Army and a wonderful daughter in law, Grace. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, anything outdoorsy and playing with her two dogs Jethro and Monkey.
Shannon is our forever loyal, Kings Mountain born and bred Service Technician. Shannon began working on cars when he was 12 years old and he has been working here at Shelby Automotive since 1999. He and his girlfriend, Teresa, have 8 children and 3 grandchildren. In his spare time he enjoys playing pool and working on one of his 8 mustangs.
Kallup is the newest edition to the Shelby Automotive team. He is originally from Rutherfordton, but now resides in Lawndale. Kallup began working on cars when he was only 10 years old, and has been a service technician for 8 years. Since graduating from East Rutherford High School, he has been a hard worker in his career and is dedicated to serving the Shelby community. Kallup and his wife Melena recently welcomed a son, Kaspien, into their family. In his free time he enjoys playing PS4 and spending time with his wife and sweet baby boy.

Formerly J&E Sales, Shelby Automotive is a auto repair facility & dealership specializing in pre-owned luxury automotive sales and service. In business since 1985, we offer a select inventory of luxury brand vehicles at our facility in Shelby, North Carolina. We also provide maintenance and vehicle concierge services for high-end automobiles.
